The factory 240sx tachometer is incapable of properly displaying/outputting an accurate RPM signal from a RB from factory. This causes a huge draw back for those actually wanting to drive their car to it's potential (read - Initial D reference)
Black Box Tuning Tachometer conversion allows the Nissan 240sx owner to properly monitor the RPM of their installed RB20, RB25, RB26, or RB30 engine.
The modification is made to the tachometer unit itself and may be installed into your existing gauge cluster without any further modifications. This is the best solution for a clean OEM functionable install.
You may also use this modification for other Nissan 6 cylinder engine swaps into a 240sx.
